While it's fun to pull off pranks, one should be careful who you play a prank on because anything can go wrong. And there's plenty that could go wrong.
Meet twenty-something Sheri Lume from the USA. On October 30th last year, she decided to play a prank on her roommate Rachel Gilland. The plan was to scare Rachel with the help of a friend who would dress up in a scary looking costume and wait for her to return from the market.
Did it work? Yes, it did. But what happened after was something nobody expected.
Rachel Gilland's parents sued her former roommate, Sheri Lume, for wrongful death. The case was dismissed, but the parties later settled an impending civil suit for an undisclosed sum.
We hope this kind of thing never happens in real life. Sheri has been psychologically affected after this incident, and has not spoken a word since the day of the horrific incident.
